Main investigator of the project "Spider, Insect and plant communities of differently managed urban green spaces in Karlsruhe" is Tobias Bauer, who worked on this for his Ph.D. This project was realized in a cooperation of the State Museum of Natural History Karlsruhe and the iES Landau Institute for Environmental Sciences of university Koblenz-Landau.

In the last years (2024, 2025) several bachelor students of KIT, supervised by Hubert Höfer (SMNK) studied spiders in Karlsruhe. Data on spider assemblages in small coppice areas and meadow patches on the campus of the university and in orchard meadows at the margins of the city will soon be published in ARAMOB.
