Abstract

The American linyphiid spider Erigone dentosa O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1894, was found in a plant market garden in the city of Zeitz (Saxony-Anhalt). It is the first record of this species for the German fauna. The author has been observing the spider assemblages of this plant nursery by irregular sampling for the last twenty years. Erigone dentosa was firstly caught by hand in February 2020, until September 12 specimens were recorded. It is unknown, how this species has reached the plant nursery. A total of 68 spider species and three harvestmen species was found, seven of them are alien species.
