Silometopus acutus ist ein jüngeres Synonym von Silometopus bilacunatus (Araneae: Linyphiidae)

Vor kurzem wurde der Erstfund der Zwergspinne Silometopus acutus Holm, 1977 für Deutschland gemeldet. Die nachfolgende Prüfung von Exemplaren der nahe verwandten Art S. incurvatus (O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1873) aus Deutschland ergab, dass S. acutus bisher verkannt und als S. incurvatus bestimmt wurde. Beide Arten kommen in der Norddeutschen Tiefebene vor. Aus Brandenburg, Sachsen-Anhalt und Sachsen sind nur Funde von S. acutus bekannt. Die Tibialapophyse von S. acutus zeigt eine deutliche Übereinstimmung mit der Zeichnung aus der Erstbeschreibung von Tapinocyba bilacunata (L. Koch, 1881), einer aus Sachsen beschriebenen Art. T. bilacunata wurde von Breitling et al. (2015) mit Silometopus incurvatus synonymisiert. Aufgrund der vorliegenden Daten kann diese Synonymisierung nicht aufrechterhalten werden. Vielmehr handelt es sich bei Silometopus acutus Holm, 1977 um ein jüngeres Synonym von Silometopus bilacunatus (Koch, 1881) (Silometopus acutus Holm, 1977 = Silometopus bilacunatus (Koch, 1881) (syn. nov., S. bilacunatus aus der Synonymie von S. incurvatus entfernt, contra Breitling et al. 2015).

The first discovery of the dwarf spider Silometopus acutus Holm, 1977 was recently reported in Germany. Subsequent examination of specimens of the closely related species S. incurvatus (O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1873) from Germany revealed that S. acutus had previously been misidentified as S. incurvatus. Both species occur in the North German Plain. In Germany, records of S. acutus are only known from Brandenburg, Saxony-Anhalt, and Saxony. The tibial apophysis of S. acutus shows a distinct similarity to the original drawings of Tapinocyba bilacunata (L. Koch, 1881), a species described from Saxony. T. bilacunata was synonymized with Silometopus incurvatus by Breitling et al. (2015). Based on the available data, this synonymy cannot be maintained. Silometopus acutus Holm, 1977 is instead a junior synonym of Silometopus bilacunatus (Koch, 1881) (syn. nov., S. bilacunatus removed from the synonymy of S. incurvatus, contra Breitling et al. 2015).
