Arachnologische Gesellschaft is a legal nonprofit association (German "Verein" with the usual bylaws). Its council consists of the chairperson, two deputy chairpersons and the treasurer. The board of the legislative period 2022-2023 consists of:

Member councils are scheduled every third year during the regular AraGes meeting. The last member council – with election of the new board happened 2022 in Vienna, Austria.

Membership in the AraGes is open to all interested persons. The annual membership of € 35 (25 € for students) is used to cover AraGes expenses, i.e. edition of the journal Arachnologische Mitteilungen /Arachnology Letters, organisation of meetings, hosting and managing the website.
